Best Baby Gift & New Clips!

Pee Pee Teepees!! These are the best baby gift for a Mom of a little boy! I wish I had thought of sewing these when I had my boy 6months ago! I cant count the times I got peed on, or he got himself or the bed...and so much more! These are fabulous, you just place it over the as you could call it 'water gun' :) and your safe! If he pees this absorbent  lining will soak it up! They are machine washable so all you have to do is throw it in and your ready to go again!

New hair clips. These are a super cute new hair clip! These can even be worn by adults and teens! I have worn these a few times!! $3 each

This is the one I wore the other day!

One my little girl tried out. It would look better in some with more hair. Putting it in to top off an updo or dress-up a ponytail!

Jeans ----> Skirt

My daughter had a super cute jean skirt when she was one. I loved it! It was the cutest thing. Now she didnt have any, but she did have quite a few pairs of jeans that she didnt wear because they sat funny. This pair was one of them. When she wore these they were to short, and pukered funny at the waist.

What I did was put them on her and made a  mark of how far down her thigh I wanted the shirt to go. Since I was adding a ruffle to the bottom I cut about and 1"-2" above that mark. The legs of the jeans I cut off I used to make the ruffle. Since they sat funny at the waist, I added pleats to tighten them up to not pucker out funny. In the end I am pleased with the finished product. I will give it another go and see if I can improve on it yet. The ruffle didnt work out the way I would have liked.

I will get a photo of her modeling it yet. It was 11:30 when I finished it so she was in bed :)

Sorry in advance this photo is really bad! This is a leather Cozy Toe shoe. I will be doing many more shoes in leather as I make my collection bigger. This is a glimps of whats to come. This pair is $20 and fits newborn - to 4 months

Pekkle Sleepers/ D-I-Y

I don't know about the rest of you. But I have a thing for Pekkle baby sleepers (pj's). They sell them at Costco for $8 each and they are soooo cute! As cute as the Child's Place Sleepers that go for $15 each reg price. I don't know about the rest of you, but I prefer the Costco price! As we all know I am an weekly Thrift store junkie, and there is one thing I keep coming across that I can't leave behind! Pekkle Sleepers!!

Isn't it cute!

Why it's at the Thrift store... A hole in the toes!

Now what I'm going to show you how to do is how to make these nice footless pj's that are still super cute and functional! What you will need is:
1) Scissors
2) ribbing (like the neck on your t-shirt or sweater you can find it at fabric stores)
3) sewing machine or you can hand sew this too. You will want to sew nice straight lines though.

To start off you want to cut off the feet. Cut just above the elastic that is along the ankle.

Next you want to take your ribbing. Have it laying flat and doubled. Now measure 8cm in from the folded edge, and 2inches up. Now cut out this section.

Now put the two ends together and sew a straight line so that the ribbing becomes a tube.

Now fold the the ribbing down so it only stands 1 inch high rather than two

Next what you will do is take your band shown in the photo above and put it over the sleepers leg opening we cut earlier. Don't turn the sleeper inside out for this. Leave it right side out and sew a straight line around the entire border. The ribbing will appear to have been cut to small, all  you will need to do is stretch the ribbing as you sew. This way once you finish it will pull the ankle tighter for a more finished look.

Now fold the band down and you have your new fixed up sleeper! If you want you can also sew another straight line just above the ribbing to help it to sit flat. And there is your finished product! Good as new!

Shoes

What I've been working on lately is shoes. I call these Cozy Toes. They are much like the very popular Robeez brand of shoes. I am still learning how to do these so I'm starting with denim with leather designs on them until I prefect them and until I can get my hands on more leather. I am working on finishing another pair of these I made for my daughter out of fleece. So they are like a slipper. I will post a photo of them once I'm finished! Though she does love the one that I have finished :) These can be made out of light, dark, brown, black, white, pink, purple. Any kind of denim you can think of. I'm currently working on my collection of colors. I love them made in dark denim. I have a pair of those coming later today to!

I can put basically any design on them  you would like. If you have an idea you would like for a shoe just let me know. Then what ill do is draw up a sketched template of the design of cardboard and then cut it out of the material and let you see if its what you were hoping for. Then if you like it, I will make up the shoes. I currently have a Cat (shown above), Lady bug (below), Car, and puppy dog.

Shoes made out of denim are $15

What I have been up to...

Something new I tried today. I'm pretty impressed with how it turned out! This is my first solo shoe the rest I have done when my Mom and I had a 'sewing party'. :) Just saying that reminds me of the dreaded 'sock party'! Moms way of saying we got to sit there in the living room with literally 4 boxes of unmatched socks and sort them till we could match as many as we could. Seriously I used to wonder why she didn't throw them out?! Though now I'm sure she would laugh if she knew I to have now my own box of lonely socks waiting for a party! Lol.

Anyway... off my bunny trail. What do you think of the shoes? Anything you would change about them?
An order I was working on. Had an order for 3 of these crayon wallets for little girls. These are so fun! My daughter loves hers! They come with all the crayons, stickers, and notepad. $12

I finally figured it out!!!! WOOooH!!! I have had three trials on making the large wipes case so far all were a disaster until this one! Though the first two reside at my grandmothers house who seems proud as punch with them, lol. This does need some improvement, but I cant wait to start my next one I'm sure it will look much better! :)

Something New!!! Fabric Soother Clips! With Kamsnaps, these snaps are wonderful they are strong and easily applied! No worrying about matching up the metal prongs with the grove on the opposite side ( traditional metal snaps)  Those things make me crazy! I could never get one right without using 5 first! :) And these come in any color imaginable!

Another personal order from a friend of mine. Two soother clips, and a crayon wallet!

Dressin up a Onzie

I have so many onzies that were gifts from when I had my kids that are nice and not used cuz I prefered the cute ones with the sayings and such. So I decided to dress a few up with some felt designs I cut out. One of them even has a hand stitched message on it! Each onzie is $10.

Looking at this is when I wish I had done this when my daughter was little! Wouldn't this be cute on little girl with those baby legwarmers in a cute pink print with a matching clip!? I Think it would be so sweet!

New onzie I made for my little dude. Sadly I only realized after I made it he is way to big for this onzie I bought! So its up for grabs!

Cute lil' Chick onzie Size 12-24 months. I will be adding feet and a wing to this one yet. And possibly a saying of some kind if someone wants or has a prefrence.

Something new to Unique Treasures Boutique, by Janice! These headbands come in many colors and can have different buttons added to the center (flower of any color, hearts, and any regular button color!) She is great at crochet! Stay tuned for more!!! $5 each
